One of the most valued certifications of the Jan Zandbergen Group is BRC Food Safety. This global certification for food safety standards recognizes our commitment to optimal production and processing practices. Achieving this certification means that Jan Zandbergen Group meets the fundamental requirements such as hygiene management system, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and product release processes. The BRC Food Safety certificate assures customers that they can trust the quality and safety of the products from Jan Zandbergen Group.
Another important certification is that of BRC Agents and Brokers. This certificate recognizes compliance with specific requirements for companies acting as intermediaries in the food chain. Jan Zandbergen Group carefully selects its suppliers. Animal welfare plays a role throughout the entire chain. Given our position in the supply chain, we promise to encourage producers worldwide to comply with the standards of the Better Chicken Commitment. We also strive to assist them in this transition (our efforts include providing information and mediation, for example).
Several products are halal-certified. The halal certification represents meat from animals that have been slaughtered according to Islamic laws. From the chicken products of TD Poultry, to the beef used for Steak-Break burgers, and even the plant-based products from PLNT. This way, we can meet the requirements for a possible halal certification for your private label as well.
Some of our plant-based products from Future Food Group are Kosher certified. Kosher certification is the seal of kosher approval by a rabbinical agency, which verifies that they have checked the ingredients, the production facility, and the actual production process to ensure that all ingredients, derivatives, tools, and machinery contain no trace of non-kosher substances. The Kosher Certified symbol assures consumers that both the actual product and its production comply with all requirements of Kosher law.
The Namibian FAN Meat certification is a quality mark for meat from Namibia that meets high standards in animal welfare, deforestation, and traceability. The certification represents sustainable meat production and a healthy relationship between humans, animals, and the environment. The purpose of the certification is to create awareness for better farming practices and animal welfare. This is achieved by studying global trends in the meat sector and using this knowledge to continue developing the Namibian meat industry. Namibian meat from Natures Reserve bears this certification.
